using VSD to design Drupal template?
OK... I have a customer who wants me to design their web site template, but they use a Mac so they cannot use VSD to maintain the site themselves after I have designed it. So I am looking at the possibility of setting them up with Drupal (or another CMS) so that they have web-based editing ability for their web site.
Realizing that I know nothing about PHP code or CSS, is there any way to use VSD to design the template of the site and then somehow import that designed template into Drupal (or another CMS if anyone can recommend one easy enough to work with) for the end user to make their own administration of the site?
I'm completely lost - so far I've just been turning down customers who use Macs because I use VSD and that's the only option I can offer them for ongoing maintenance. But I'd like to be able to find another solution that will work.
Any suggestions or recommendations will be helpful.
Thanks,
Jason

Since, as you say, you know nothing about css or php, I don't think you can use VSD to design a template for a cms that is using exactly css and php.
There are templates built into both Drupal and other cms frameworks. If they don't fit your need, take a look at a programme called Artisteer (google it). With the cheap version you can create designs for html and Word Press, and the bit more expensive version can also handle designs for a range of cms progs, and I think Drupal is one of them.

Correct me if i am wrong someone please but VSD creates slightly different html code to SAY html editor
If you import from VSD it may cause shifting text and images, and other issues.

Actually it creates very very different code from the HTML Editor. I am very sure you cannot use VSD to create themes for much other than VSD since it's very Visual Code based where Wordpress and Joomla and the other CMS setups are very PHP based.
I would definitely give Artisteer a try, it's pretty cool, I use it for all kinds of different themes.

It is possible to run Windows programs from a Mac with a Windows emulator. I believe it is possible to duel boot into a Windows operating system.
Who in their right mind would buy a Mac. Schools do as no one makes programs for them. Even hackers cannot be bothered so hardly any viruses abound.

You can use Windows programmes on a Mac if you install Parallels.

You can build a template in VSD, but you have to do some complex customization to get it to work, and then if you need to make changes and don't know a lot about web design, you would need to do it all over again, as in that could get tedious. If I was choosing a CMS when starting out, I would use Wordpress. It's fairly easy to set up and customize.
