I'm thinking of applying an ssl certificate to my site according to the instructions here:
https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … rtificate/
My question is...How do I know if my images and files use an absolute link? If they need to be changed to a
relative link, can I do that in VSD? and if so, how?

Thanks,
Sean

Hi Sean,
An image with an absolute src will have the
src="http://mydomain.com/images/mycoolimage.jpg".
All you would need to do is add the s to the http.
src="https://mydomain.com/images/mycoolimage.jpg"
If the src's are relative your all set.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks for the response Eric...
If i am correct, every image on my site is absolute. That's a lot of manual changing.
Not sure I will continue with the ssl certificate.

Then your site will be shown as insecure and may even be blocked by some browsers sssl is not optional anymore
. Does vsd not have a find and replace facility? Which would make it easier

If you have the Html Editor its a simple find and replace. Couple of clicks and your done.
