When it rains it pours, so they say. I just installed VSD 7.0 onto a Windows 7 machine and copied over my existing web sites from my old XP machine.
Everything seem to work just fine on the Win 7 platform, I made the changes I needed to one of my web sites and published it. However, the new changes are not being displayed on my web site.
I FTP'ed to my web site and the date and time stamps on all of my html files were the current ones but yet the old html files continue to be displayed. Where are these old html files?
Would like to understand how VSD works.

Hello Don, have you tried to clear your cookies in your browser? Sometimes it remember's the old cookies and reads from them.
ctrl + f5 on the keyboard would be worth a try.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Don,
Since you have just installed a new OS and in case you are using Internet Exploiter as your browser, it's worth noting that by default it does not seek new versions of cached pages.
If this is the case, in Internet Exploiter go to Tools -> Internet Options and in the General tab, click on Settings in "Browser History". Now, in the Temporary Internet Files tab you'll see a radio button list. By default, this is set to "Automatically". Change this to "Every time I visit the webpage".
OK your way out of all this and then you should find that changes you make will be reflected in the browser when you upload a revised site and then revisit the page in Internet Explorer

I'm still having some problems but different ones. Frist let me thank everyone for the feedback. Dave, did not know that about IE, took care of that in a hurry.
If I can't fix current problems I will be back.

It was indeed Viv. I'm no fan of IE

I'm running ver 7.0 build 26 and mine is doing the same. I normally run Firefox but run IE as well. The IE fix did not work for me and Firefox is doing the same. No matter what i do, they keep loading the old pages. Also, when I did my new build my tab says My Website and I cannot get it to change......
any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried Re-Syncing your website under the Publish Menu Chuck to see if that helps?
