VSD is Very Cool Software. I roughed out a 5-page site in a coupla hours! Now polishing and tweaking.
I would like to upload the entire site to see that everything is working... but I don't want it to be live on the web. Can I simply rename index.html to accomplish this? I realize that internal 'home' links on the site will not work unless I rename them accordingly.
Any quick and easy way to test-publish the whole site without it being live?
Publish site without going live -...
Typically what people do is setup a test spot on their server. For example, instead of uploading everything to your root folder (that's what you do when you go live), you create a separate folder on your server like "test", then upload everything to that folder instead of your root folder. That way you have a live testing area without going live.

The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.
