I'm trying to do rollovers/mouseovers for 4 menu links following Eric's instructions:
http://progrower.coffeecup.com/mouseovergif.html
So, these are 4 separate images (each with its own rollover state). I can get the first item to work just fine, but any others added will not show the rollover and cancel out the first one as well. They're not touching anything or each other.

I've tried creating 4 separate folders, 2 images in each. Added each folder to the root folder (along with its images), what should I be doing? —Keep in mind, this is for VSD :)

What I have are PNG files so the background can show around the text (on/off images are identical size) and I just want them to change color on mouseover.

Had to get off the computer for awhile. Hoped i would come back to find all my problems solved :lol:
I'll go have a look at your site and see what's new :D

This "menu" has only 4 links and no drop downs... I thought this would be an easy way to go :lol:

One other weird thing – I went with the mouse-over idea because the advanced text is showing black around it rather than a transparent background. I know someone else had that happening, and I couldn't repeat the problem then, but now I can't get rid of it! I did put an effect on it (and "zero" it out), but the text still has black blobby stuff around it.
The one thing that's different from any other site I've used Advanced Text on; is that there's a gap between the Page background and the top of the browser screen. So the Page Bckgrnd is a PNG with some transparency at the top to let the over-all background show through. Maybe Advanced Text doesn't work as it should on top of a PNG image?

So... that's why I'm trying to do the mouse-overs with text saved as PNG images.

Question – For the multiple mouse-overs, do all the images go in the same folder ("images")?
Thanks for the examples! :)

@paintbrush
You can put them all in the same folder. They don't have to be. Change the src to fit your needs.:)
@Prism
Thanks Prism
