I have a page pointing to a document "PDF" It opens ok but in the same Window, then of course if it is closed Top Right Cross instead of using back arrow the site gets dumped.

So having the choice to open document in a separate Window would be the go. Actually this choice applied to all links would be good

When creating any link in VSD go to bottom item in pop up window ::TARGET and select NEW WINDOW BLANK :: CC thought of that one too its in pdf manual

Great minds think alike Eh!
I guess it is a matter of linking to url. What I am thinking is create the link pointing to the document, Upload the doc gets put in files\download for PDF's then change the link to the URL as above then upload again

Hopefully a choice will be given in the next upgrade.

one thing to bear in mind with VSD, it was designed to be simple, for beginners, chances are if its a sensible thing you want to do, there is a simple inbuilt way to do it.

Trouble is like me, if you have no html knowledge you don't necessarily know what it is you are looking for

Try every option in every popup window, and instantly preview it, 9 times out of ten , one of the options doese what you want

I set new window in link uploaded it and it did not work, It did work in preview though.

I am still getting mixed results. I have fixed the links with a ftp program. To test I have created a test Subdomain ie http://mysite/test. I will save my S_Drive space for something special. Maybe demo's.

I am not troubled even though on one upload I had my download folder emptied of pdf's. I copied them there via ftp. I did try again after saving the vnu file to itself(Save As) but it must have lost its directions. No worries it will sort itself. Main thing is no trouble is too hard to fix. I may stick to URLs for documents etc. better control.

Overall this program is a dream to use and it is already coining cash for me so I can't complain. I cannot get over how quick it is to put a site together. I have yet to try making my own themes. That should be a bit of fun, especially with WIS in my kick. Now where did I put it. There has to be a bit of gold there. Yes I admit it I am a bit mercenary. Maybe I shall need Shopping cart creator for that.
