I made some changes and am now getting a mouseover object error message. I can't figure out where the problem is and can't save my changes. At the top of VSD, there is an arrow cursor over the Mouseover button, and a hand over Buttonize that won't move. I don't use Mouseover!

Any suggestions?

You probably have over lapping mouseover elements.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Amy,

VSD will only show this error if you have some elements interacting in a fashion that's not workable.

The url you provide is not useful as it's not including the error since VSD will not allow you to save/publish until you resolve the error.

Have a look at the proximity between elements that have a link function and you will find one that is invading another's space

If you can't figure it out and if the changes you made are not major, the easiest solution would be to close the project without saving and then re-open it and attempt your changes again but with attention to the proximity of any linked element to another linked element.

Okay, well, the hand cursor over the "Buttonize" icon, and the arrow cursor over the the "Mouseover" icon are stuck there even when there is no web page loaded. It's like that when it first opens. Perhaps I shour delete the program and reinstall?

Have you tried re spacing those buttons, on the right, (ie) move them all downwards a bit, then shift them all away from one and other

Those buttons are mouseovers, just not in the way you think

When this error occurs, move an object, save if it results in the same message its not that object

? what had you just change ? move it back

Also i am seeing something only just showing at the top of the page in FIREFOX which i think should not be there various colours right across the page, hence my suggestion to move buttons down, away from whatever that is

Well, I just slid the whole page up and down and now it works and I can save.

Still, I've attached a .jpg of the two stuck hand and arror cursors. I don't remember them being like that before. Even if there is no webpage loaded, just a grey start screen, they're still there . Does anyone else show this?

Well, I imported the website from the server and it's all working again. So all is well. Wish I knew what happened in the first place so I don't do it again!

Amy while its all working OK, can i suggest you make a copy/backup

File, save as & re name it (ie) project-copy-april-2013

then if you hit problems you won't lose anything, i tend to do this once in a while for good measure
