Microsoft hosting vs. Linux w/VSD?
I recently purchased VSD and a few other tools and am working on my site locally. However, I just realized that my hosting through 1&1 Internet is a Microsoft package as I was originally planning to use Expressions to build my site. Would I be better off to switch to a Linux hosting package since I'm going to be using Coffeecup tools?
I swear by Linux, especially when it comes to CC tools, but that is just my opinion. There are just as many here who will swear by windows. But, in my opinion, there are much less problems with Linux than Windows as it relates to CC software.

I agree with Eric. +1 for Linux. I host all my sites on my apache webserver, no problems.

I, too, agree with Eric. You can't go wrong with Linux for serving.
Of course, Windows still rules the desktops.

CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Most of the webhosts I've looked at either offer a lower price for linux hosting or give you more features for the $ if the price is equivalent.
I've had websites online going back to the mid/late-90s, and haven't been on a Windows host yet!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
