Images in a theme - Post ID 202146

I started a new website based on a theme in VSD 7. I loaded a theme, selected 'saveas' to save web pages and files, and it correctly creates the name_website directory, and the 'files' folder. Problem is, when I load the website.vnu file, all of the images are loaded from the original 'theme' directory, not the newly created 'files' directory. I don't see any setting or cofiguration option to point to the correct file location. I can select each separate image, and browse to their new location, but that would be insanity.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
Rick

Start a new site with the "New Website From Theme".
Now under file select "Save as Theme".
You will get a menu with the option to move the theme files.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I didn't see the option to move theme files, just a link that says 'move your saved theme here', pointing to the directory where the original themes are. If I could change that variable, it would work.

When you click on move theme here you can browse to the location of your choice.:)

This could be an issue with the cache in your browser.

Try going to the folder containing the .vnu file and open the directory there. Now launch index.html in your browser and see if it contains the site with your images rather than the theme images.

I've had this issue a few times when using the preview function in VSD and finding that the browser loads the theme default images no matter what.

If that does not solve your issue, try (in VSD) Edit->Add Files and load the images there. Then see if the saved VSD created site contains your images rather than the defaults of the theme.

Dave :)
