how to resize a photo in CC VSD -...

I can't seem to find a way to drag the corners on a photo to resize. I highlight the photo which brings up the blue borders but the arrow will only rotate the photo not resize.

Anybody know of a way to resize the photo by dragging the corners?

Thanks in advance for any help,

The only way I can think of is the center grab handles or manually putting in the size you'd like using the object properties....:|

U hafta click on "object", and then in the pixel dimension properties box you tell it what size you'd like it to appear... not recommended because it may not correlate with the actual size of the graphic. (Which is why I do my graphics in Photoshop) Graphics could up up being pixelated if the original file isn't big enough to fill the space OR they could end up being far larger than they need to be if the original file is significantly larger than the space it occupies on your web page. Of course VSD does compress one way or another so that helps. It may even compress in a way that is relative to the size of your image as it appears on the page, but I'm not sure. Anyone know? Scott?

I am hoping that the next version of VSD will place graphics at their native pixel dimensions so that they don't have to be manually typed in each and every time...

The easy way is to click on the object then hold down the shift key and drag the object to the size you want.

You're right! And if you hold down the shift key it even keeps it proportionate. Thanks for the tip :D

Hey guys,

For some reason, after inserting a .png image, I am unable to rotate it or perform the hold-down-shift funtion to resize it. The main thing I'm after however, is the roation of the photo. Is there a handle or some way for me to rotate the image in CCVSD 6.06?

Thanks in advance,

Matthew

Welp,

Nevermind, I figured it out. What I needed to do was insert a shape object, then use the 'Fill' tool to add the photo and then rotate and resize. Excellent! I had been trying to rotate the photo by just the insert photo tool and that doesn't work. Anyway, solved my own problem. Thanks anyway CC family :)

You need to use one of the corners to grab the object and drag it to rotate it.
