Extend horizontal bar to edge of...
My website is at 1200x750 pixels. At the top I have two bars (images uploaded to my site's server), and I would like them both to continue to touch either side of the page when it is open, so that the site isn't just a box in the middle of a white screen. I have been struggling with HTML/codes all day and just can't get anything that does it. Does anyone have any advice?
Open VSD, choose Settings -> Bacground fill properties, choose Select an image. You navigate on your computer to the image you want to have.
BTW, it would be useful if you could give yourself a name. Doesn't have to be your own, just pick a nickname that nobody is using already.

Thanks. My problem is though, the image can't be stretched vertically -- it needs to always be exactly 182 pixels tall, and just as wide as the window permits. Is there some way to do this?
P.S. Got a name

If you track Paintbrush's posts I think you might find a solution there. I think it was something like create an image a few pixels wide to use.

This will help.

Thank you guys, for your responses -- this is one of the only tech support forums I have ever been on where people actually answer! I am going to start working on the backgroung thing as Eric suggested -- quick question, will this background scroll down with the page? What I actually need is for it to align with an object on the page, so as to give the object the appearance of extending all the way across the window.
Thank you guys -- it works perfectly! (I am opening up a new thread, so if anyone will have any advice there, it would be much appreciated!)

I actually have a second question concerning the background (which worked great). On some pages, even though they are all the same size, the ribbon at the top starts repeating at the bottom of the page. Any ideas as to why/how to fix it?
Hi "Hob"
Here's an example from my test site:

I planned my background strip so the footer area can be expanded as needed. Since the top and bottom strips are the same color, there won't be any line where the repeat starts.
I also made a longer version with more of the lighter middle color to use for pages that require more content. The top strip is still the same, so the logo and whatnot are still in the same place the on any length page.
