I'm a newbie and have a couple of questions. 1st, I am very happy with the look of my site thus far. (www.literalconcepts.coffeecup.com) For those of you are interested. I cannot figure out how get my email to work. I tried the Google app route, but unfortuntately I cannot get Google to accept that my domain is in fact mine. Is this the only route to go?
I made the mistake by registering my domain outside of Coffeecup. It made things more difficult than they would have been had I done it via Coffeecup. In any event, do I understand this correctly? Does the DNS server now point my domain to Coffeecup or the other way around?? Apart from that, when I want to upload my site and make any changes ,do I use my own FTP program and host company??
I am pretty green to this stuff and I appreciate any and all help.

Confusing :: if your website is loaded to CC s drive use your VSD Sdrive account to upload always, just put in your CC log in details

AT your registrar control panel either change cname records, so that it points to literalconcepts.coffeecup.com) and after a day or two go to cc account control panel and check its working and SAVE afterwards typing in that url will find your website

OR if your registrar gives you option to re direct in a frame (cloaked) you can do that instead, which should work within a few hours.

The DNS would point the domain name to your CC S-Drive if you have setup the correct nameservers. As for the FTP, as Viv pointed out you would just use VSD to upload your files, and that would load them to your S-Drive account.

I forgot to mention if Cname records have been changed, your email account probably will not work (as CC do not handle email)

If you have done a cloaked re direct your email should work within your registrar account

AND you can set up an alias in googlemail I believe to handle the email associated with your registrar
