Deleted pages still visible when I...
I have been working on a project. I deleted a few pages and then went to preview the site after the pages were deleted. The old pages were still visible when I tried the menu I created with the Flash Menu Builder. I didn't re-build the flash menu because I was going to re-insert the pages with a different layout. In the end, the new pages did overwrite the older ones. I would have thought the deleted pages would not have displayed. Not a big problem just a curiosity question.
firefox likes to cache flash. I am sure if you close your browser (all instances) and restart it the deleted pages will not show up.
IE can do the same thing but is better at not caching flash movies

Another thing you could do is go to your website folder and delete the pages from there as well.

Hello Matt,
You'll need to periodically clear the cache (temporary Internet files) to view the changes to your site. The browser automatically downloads a copy of the site when you first visit it and stores that copy within the Temp folder on your hard drive. Afterward, every time you visit the site, the system just pulls up the copy to speed up the page loading time. The browser does have a limit to the space it reserves for the Temp folder, so once the limit is reached, it will start deleting files that it hasn't loaded in awhile. So if you only went to a site once then never went back, those site files will probably be the first to go.
My suggestion, so you don't have to manually clear the cache all the time, is to lower the amount of space reserved for your cache within the browser:
In Internet Explorer select Tools > Internet Options, then click Settings under the Browser History section. Set the browser to "Automatically check for new versions," and only use the minimum cache size (8MB).
In Firefox select Tools > Options > Advanced > Network tab, then enter the minimum value for cache (5MB). Under the Privacy options, click the Settings for "Private Data" and check the "Cache" box. Then check the box "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox." This will make sure the browser automatically dumps its cache when you close out the browser. You can set other information to delete when the browser is closed in the Private Data options as well.
This will not only clear out your cache more frequently, but it will also free up some of your hard drive space for other uses. Let us know if you have any other questions about the software.
Thanks for all the responses. I thought I did clear out my Cache after I deleted my old pages. I'll keep an eye out for this as I continue to use the program. Thanks again.
