Creating a document page in MS Word -...

Basically, I've type a page of text and save it as a web page. On my site I've got the title of this document and I create a link to that page and publish.

The page shows up OK when addressed but there are dozens of diamond shaped objects throughout.
When I add a small picture to the page, it only comes through as a broken link icon.

Should I be creating a document page with something else besides MS Word 10?

Thanks. . .

Short answer, yes.

Longer answer is that you need to Edit/Add Files in VSD to 'add' your pictures to vsd. Then publish and VSD will upload the pictures for you.

The diamond shapes are created for characters that are not recognized. Ms Word produces a number of these. I know a lot of users like typing in word (my sister is one of them) but you'd get better compatibility typing into an html program.
