For the record Scott, this was sent to Orlando a few minutes ago...
I give up Orlando. There will be no more requests for support.
This has gone on long enough. Almost 4 months now, 42 requests for support.
Just so you all know, I spent, without exageration, 100's of hours creating this site which is, at this point, completelly unuseable.
Since I cant UPLOAD it now, it actually doesnt even exist on the web anymore.
Further, I cant even download and open the software (as the last post indicated) to begin again from scratch on a new site.
Thanks for your help. I believe you tried your best
Great product I still think...but support is lacking!

Joseph, Do you have another pc you can try you VSD on?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is a site I built for use in my job.(HTML Editor)
https://pestlogbook.com
This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

Joseph, open up your web site in VSD, then rename the directory you have it in - mysiteSAVE.
Go back to your open site in VSD and save it.
Then try to upload it.
I did this once and it worked, don't know why, but give it a try.
As long as you've saved the original directory nothin lost.

Okay, so if I read your post correctly you said that you were able to upload a single page website with no problem. That "sort of" tells us that VSD is working.
I also have a website with a large number of images (no where close to 20,000) and it take my site a while to upload (I have approx. 1000 images and the site takes about 15 min. to upload).
Is it possible that you are getting some "timing out" issues with your host?
I am running VSD7.18, Windows 7, IE8, and a Verizon MiFi2200.
I have tried over 230 different web design software packages and if your main goal is to run your business and not get bogged down in building your website I don't see how VSD can be beat.
Let's work together with the nice people on this forum and get your site up and running,

I understand how you feel. It seems that half the time I spend on my computer is wasted getting Microsoft to play nice with other programs.
Two things that you might try that probably would not cause any harm. 1) Go back to a previous restore point -- maybe something changed in your registry that is conflicting with VSD . 2) Contact support and get a link to download ver. 6 and see if you can get it to work (do you have a ver. 6 backup somewhere?). If it does that will tell us something.
I also think that it is possible that trying to upload a website over an extended period of time (6 hours) is causing some problems (that is a long time for host, Verizon, and VSD to play nice together) -- after all -- you were able to upload the single page website.
I really start to get nervous when I heard things like DEP, run as admin., and firewall and things of the like. If you are like me, you just want the software to work and run in the background so you can concentrate on running your business.
Good luck and report back,
yeto

Check your support ticket Joseph. I am taking over here on this issue and we will get to the bottom of what is going on. If we can prove it was not our fault, you owe me a beer. If it was our fault, we can use Orlando as a Piñata for a day.

You were pretty convincing Orlando, when you assured me that it would NOT crash this time. But it DID. Yep! It crashed agan. Yes it did! It crashed AGAIN!
Almost like it always does. I say "almost" because it uploaded over 19000 of 20672 images this time before it crashed. Literally within minutes of completeing a successful upload. Minutes!
That is the best its done in quite awhile...but am i to consider this a "success"???
For the record...I dont!
And yes, there is meant to be a certain amount of sarcasm in the words I'm speaking.
Remember...it's over 4 months now and 44 emails for spport!!!
I wonder how many sales I've lost or how much is left of my customer base?
I called BlueHost my hosting provider who assured me there is NO timeout feature on uploads to their server. As mentioned several times prior, each time i experience a failed upload I do check to see if I am still connected to the internet and the answer again is YES. I have NEVER had an internet disconnect after a failed upload. Even when it takes fully 6 hours to upload and YES i would also like to know WHY it takes that long. It's only 12.5 MB! And yes to repeat once more I HAVE tried this on a LAN connection and YES it is faster, perhaps twice as fast, but it STILL CRASHES.
Great product I still think...
But...sorry to say, far less than satisfactory support!
www.satelliteinnovatios.com
(its viewable now but it is NOT without upload errors)
Bob M.
P.S. If you hear the word "Pinata" Orlando...I'd quickly run for cover.
(And how I was hoping I was going to get to buy Scott a beer!)
I'm trying to maintain a sense of humor guys, but your REALLY testing my limits!!!

Not to offend you but your header and footer doesn't look so good in various browsers. Do you test?
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
I dont know how to generate a screenshot of the error message Orlando but I HAVE explaided before as best I could what it looked like.
And yes, when it "crashes" it always results in the same error message.
Suggestion:
How simple it would be right now if I could tell you that it resulted in "error message #2209" or something like that if all of the VSD program error messages were identified in such a manner.
Just a suggestion!!! Or, like Glenn Beck says: "I'm just saying!"
I'm doing the following from memory:
It is a message within a box approx. 6" square with some yellow text and/or "caution" symbols with 3 distinct paragraphs of text explaining what might be causing the problem and what one might try to correct the fault.
At the top it explains that "an error has occured while trying to upload your site".
Also, somewhere near the top it says "not to worry" (you might want to re-think that phrase"!
At the bottom of the box it suggests that it might also have been "just a fluke" please try again.
If note of these work...contact support!
Well, I have "tried again" more than a few times.
And, I have contacted support more than a few times. It's now 48 emails!!!
So, hopefluuy the "not to worry" and "could be a fluke" phrases will adequately describe the message I'm referring to.
After leaving you on the phone I shut everything down and rebooted my system. I had 4-5 bars on the AirCard when I began AND the same when I finished.
When it "Built the website on my computer" this time it did so in the "usual" amount of time. When you were connected remotely that Build process was taking an extraordinarily unusual amount of time as i mentioned then .
I dont know what else to tell you.
Bob M.
PS
I would really be listening NOW for the word "Pinata"!

Joseph, when you get the error, click printscreen, then open paint edit>paste save as and post here, should work for a screenshot....
