Colours not corresponding with fill...

I mae this page maelorec.co.uk/Events.html with an event calendar. I matched up the colours with small squared and filled them in VSD. No matter what I do, when I publish the first line of colours is wrong! On VSD, they match perfectly, but this time the yellow has come out pink, and the blue has come out green! Very odd.

They jump around too. The yellow square is now by British Showjumping, when it's by Ladies Mornings on VSD. The mint green should be 'Hired for event' and there is only one pink box on VSD, by 'Two events on same day'.

Janet - I don't know what's going on, so I'll tell you what I would do...
First, delete all the squares. Delete them from the Files folder, too. Get rid of all of them and start over. Sometimes images and text overlapping can cause problems (looks OK in VSD but shows up different in various browsers). So I would try to make sure none of the object or text boxes overlap each other. Get them as close as you can, then Group each square with its text. When you arrange them above the calendar, try to not have any overlapping bounding boxes. You could also select all these and make them one group so nothing can shift. You might need to make the squares a little smaller so you can keep everything closer together. That's all I can think of - maybe someone else will have another idea.
I hope you get it sorted out, it's a nice way to do your calendar :)
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

Hiya Janet, although the setup of your calendar seems nice, I'm wondering why not give the Calendar maker from CoffeeCup a try? All the settings are done via css now which gives it a whole new aspect of control. Just a thought, maybe give it a trial run and see if you like it, might be easier than trying to patch together your own manually.

Hi, I've sorted this by doing it in exel, then exporting to web page, then copying the code, and inserting it via html. Phew.

I didn't use the coffee cup calendar because this is a site that the customer wants to update themselves, therefore I used one which Bruzer kindly recommended, that they can log into and update without me!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
