Sorry about this,
But how does one change the body of the html widget. I can't seem to find it.

Are you talking about the html box that you use to insert various elements into a page? A form for instance.
If you are referring to this. It allows you to add to the body, it doesn't change what's there. If this is not what you are after please come back.

Eric explained how to insert a Iframe to house a Gbook in the other post. Is this box the widget if so we refer to it as a html box at least I do and can be corrected if wrong

Hi Prism,
I indeed used an html box (as eric explained) . On adding it I could put some code in it (body section, like Eric said). Then I clicked OK.
I would now like to change some of that code, but i can not find how.

Regards,
Marc

Marc, If you click on the HTML box on your page to highlight it, then go to Object Properties, you'll see the option to edit your HTML there.

I find it rather small (hard to read), so if it involves multiple changes, I go back to my original file and change it there* then copy/paste the new HTML into VSD's HTML box (having deleted the existing HTML).

*This is where the CC HTML Editor comes in handy ;), but you could use notepad or whatever you have to edit your HTML files.

Now I see it, Thanks

Wow, that was just sitting in front of me. I looked at all the properties but did not see that!

Sometimes I find VSD not really intuitive, but that is probably me.

I have the HTML editor but but at this moment it is still a scary complicated thing.

Thanks again.

Sometimes we're just not expecting something to be so simple :D

Don't let the Editor put you off. I went quickly from no coding experience whatsoever to relying on the Editor as a must-have VSD "extension" because it is intuitive/easy to use. I've never pushed it to its limits, no doubt I'd have to open the Help files if I built a site from scratch in it – but for creating bits of code for VSD it's been great.
Open a new page and delete the existing code, now you have a blank slate to pop your code into. On the left you have a whole list of tags (<p>, </p> for instance) that you can click to insert as needed. You can save things you use often (an IFrame for example) as a Snippet so you don't have to re-type them every time you use them :)

Have a look at the source code of a preview in VSD see the position absolute statements. I use the editor and all elements I wish to insert are placed that way, Forms, tables,Iframe's, Links, Images. php injection, Some standard html is needed from time to time but when I want an element to be precisely in position That's what I do.

Coffee (The Editor) becomes a better VSD than VSD but with a few extra delights under its belt. Actually I believe you need both, they go together like peaches and cream. Add the form builder and the Web Image Studio learn a bit of php and there is literally nothing you can't do with it.

I have only been playing with this gear for a year and I am starting to see the logic that makes it tick. Added to this forum and well it doesn't get any better
