So I got this off the website. Can I use iFrames with CoffeeCup the way I do with my Wordpress sites?

If so, I'm a little unclear as to what part of the code I'm supposed to put inbetween the iFrame tags.

From the site:

1.Download the slideshow package, you can get it from here - [link] .
2.Unzip the package, browse the folder 'HTML embed' and choose a template from the folder 'Templates' .
3.Upload the desired template to your own server with FileZilla or any FTP client .
4.Login into your wordpress administration panel .
5.Go to 'Posts' -> 'Add new' -> Select the 'HTML' container, afterwards you have to initiate the template html file through an
iframe code, let's say we use the javascript version of the slideshow with the 'FrameSlide' template, see the example below:

<iframe src="FrameSlide/Embed_JavaScript/sample.html" width="1200" height="600"></iframe> where the width and height size is customizable, you can set the size you prefer .
6.Click on 'Publish' button .

Okay, so iFrame is working *in general*.

So now I just have to figure out how to embed javascript in an iFrame...

That HAS to be easier than what I've been trying to do thus far. lol

Any help with *this*?

Hiya Brian,

If you have HTML Editor, there is a Snippet, actually a couple of them, for putting an iframe in your site. It's really pretty easy and the only thing you really have to do for it is adjust the size (make sure to adjust both settings) and put the content in.

You might have e read through this (install Colorbox in VSD):

If you're using a similar product, it might help.

Most of these galleries/slideshows have script code that goes in the header (Edit > Edit Header), some HTML code to place on the VSD page (with the HTML tool) and then the image files themselves (Edit > Add Files).

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

@ Jo Ann -- I was able to take a facebook fan page iFrame code off of my Wordpress blog and copy/paste that code into the HTML box as-is on CoffeeCup and it worked fine.

So the issue I'm having now is how do I put the Javascript I have here for this product into iFrame coding? Putting the iFrame code onto VSD is easy and it works fine. The issue is how do you put javascript into iFrame?

Once I have that figured out everything should be resolved. If anyone here has ever taken Javascript and put it into an iFrame (e.g. they didn't just put a website address in their iFrame), that code would be a big help to look at.

Thanks again

Java scripts don't go in an Iframe. They go on the page that is in the iframe or in the page with the iframe.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

So are you saying when using iFrames in CoffeeCup we should...paste the JavaScript in the HTML box in VSD and then reference it (and the uploaded files) in the iFrame code?

An Iframe as I understand it is used to reference another page. First that other page with all its bells and whistles, has to work in its own right before it can display correctly in an Iframe. So make sure that page is working properly first.

I try to 'pardon the pun' think of an Iframe as a picture frame. One page is the frame the other the picture that goes in it. Does that analogy work Eric? I am not an expert here and try to picture things in simple terms

I look at Iframes as this... The Iframe is like a window in your house that a peeping Tom is looking through at your priceless picture handing in a frame on your wall...

I don't know what this discussion is doing in the HTML Editor forum when it's all about VSD.
