ok, so am using VSD to design webpage, seems very easy. Have also made a form with form builder full, to which I am trying to do a manual export to VSD. However when it comes to adding the files to VSD, it appears I cannot add folders complete with contents, instead you have to manually create a folder using the add files option, then add the files to the folder.

I figure there has to be an easier way to add files and folder complete with contents. As you know form builder creates a folder which has several other folders embeded in it, with some having even more folders inside those folders. Surely we dont have to create a folder, then create a folder inside that folder and so, until you get to the point where you add the file.

I did try just adding the folder complete with contents to the vnu files folder where i have all the pics etc, but VSD doesnt pick up the added files. How can i make it pickup those extra files and folders. What am I missing???

If the elements that your trying to add have a folder inside a folder then you need to do the setup in VSD the same way. It doesn't take that long and it's still faster and more reliable then tweaking the code created by the application. Do yourself a favor and create a folder outside your mywebsitename_website folder that has the same directory structure as your site so it's easy to find files and back them up for future use. We all know computers never crash but you should be prepared.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I was actually successful in creating the new form and I uploaded it to the server (Godaddy). I didn't create any folder in VSD, just copied and pasted head and body to VSD and I uploaded the folders to my server with Filezilla. What exactly Jeff is trying to do?

thanks you all for your suggestion, I ended up just windows explorer in ftp mode and simple cut and paste the files as suggested. I have in the past found window explorer to be very friendly for ftp use.
Basically felt really silly after I read your replys, for not thinking of it sooner myself. aw well must be the first signs of getting old. hehe.

Anyway Thank you all for your replies, you have save the concrete wall from anymore damage from my thick head repeatly hitting it.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but i have basically finished the site, including the 2 forms. I modified one the templates, added a few more tabs, changed some picys, changed the logo, added the forms, and a slide show, even managed to get the file upload section to work without too much difficulty. There is still some tweaking to do be done, you know typos, slight adjustments to wording etc. and the big one is to get one of the forms to add up at some stage, but am still learning how to do that. but all the site has been done using CC software.

Made my life so much easier, So thanks to all at CC for all your efforts in giving the ability to design something worth putting up online.

Dont know if i'm allowed to put up a website here, but for those interested here's the address, I would be really interested in any comments or suggestions. www.morissetshowground.net

Oh if i'm not allowed to an address in here , sorry, but i'm sure the mods here will remove for me if needed.

You would have to define "Keep the lingo sweet". My lingo is pure and my posts still get deleted. :D
