image with transparent element - Post...

I am playing with RBB4+components.

If I include an image with transparent background, RBB change the transparent element to white.

As a test I placed the same image in RSD and also RFF, both of which recognise and allow the transparent element.

Is there something in RBB that I should know about? Or is it something that the brilliant CC team will attend to?

I tried just now with a transparent png image, and it remained transparent also in RBB. I haven't tried with a gif yet.

Have you got the latest update of RBB. Don't know if that makes a difference, though.

What I did, was opening the programme with the initial row and column, and I gave the column a bg colour. Then I just added an image element. I imported the png into the resources and changed the placeholder image to the local image.

It may be that a copy of the RBB file that changes the background to white would help establish exactly what conditions cause the problem.

Thanks your help Inger.

I use RBB v2.0b89

I followed the same steps as you did when this happened.

I have since used a different image and it worked fine. It may be that image itself that was suspect. But why did that image work in RFF and RSD?

Technology!!!! It will drive me to drink one day.
