hi, I am a trial user, just got your software, created basic shop-2 items, went to the published location of the shop on my test server , search and looked through entire file/folder structure- and do not see the database where the information resides?

what database you guys use?

access, mysql, sql?

does the shop creator require special permissions other that usual read/write/execute on the servers?

As I don't (yet) use the Shopping cart creator, I can't tell you for sure, but my impression is that it doesn't use any. Maybe a db file. But if a real data base had been one of the requirements, I think it would have been mentioned in the specifications.

Those of you who know better, please correct me if I'm wrong.

You shouldn't need any special permissions setup other than the basic default settings of a server. I also don't believe it uses an actual database as it doesn't collect information for the sales, that information is all collected by the payment processors such as PayPal..
