Any advice would be appreciated please - Can't sign in - user name and password rejected.
I have owned and used Website Access Manager V5 Build 235 for a few years.
I have just recently re-installed this program on Windows 10 Pro.

Since then, I am having the following error:
It installs properly with no issues BUT as soon as I sign on my website to access restricted files, the sign in window immediately refreshes - both user name and password are cleared. I have tried re-entering the password and also changing the password a few times but without any success. I have also re-installed the program a few times.
This happens with just myself as the user for the time being.
I have tried logging on using another Laptop using Windows 7 with the same result.

I have full access via WSFTP, the path is correct and all 'secure' files are present.
The only file I cannot find on FTP is the web access file.
Files upload to the server though with no errors.

Any ideas anyone please?

Thanks for reading!

Regards

Jeff Davies

I haven't used that app for a while, but as far as I remember, it creates a .htpassword and a .htaccess file that you probably have uploaded to your site. If you already had a .htaccess file, you probably added the contents of the file that WAM created. If you are not able to get into your protected area, you could by FTP download those two files and then delete them from the server. In case the .htaccess was just added to, remove what you added and upload it again.
After this, you should be able to start from fresh with WAM, creating a new user profile.
