I downloaded a trial Visual Site Designer, and had a quick try out, then downloaded a trial of HTML Editor. After installing HTML Editor, Visual Site Designer doesn't work any more (it fails to start; with a Windows message box saying that "Visual Site Designer has stopped working.... etc.").

Is this normal?

I'm running Windows Vista with all updates applied.

Hiya Andrew,

Try running the programs as Administrator to combat this Windows issue.

Right click the short cut(s) you are using to load either program.

Choose Properties on that window.

Choose Compatibility tab on the next window and..

At the bottom put the check mark in the box for Run as Administrator

Press OK or the accept button for that window.

That should solve this issue, but if not please come back and let us know
