Hi. I discovered Coffee Cup while skimming through a copy of the 9th Edition of Creating Web Pages for Dummies, which was from 2009. Is there an updated edition with help for the recent version of Coffee Cup? Or, are there online tutorials I could use? I just want to use the Visual software, as I have precious little acquaintance with with HTML.
Thanks. :)

The HTML editor no longer supports visual design mode. You could take a look at VSD.

Thanks, Eric.

I did download the trial of Designer. I'm just a drag-and-drop and type-in-text kind of person (I can use MS Word & Publisher, but even PowerPoint confuses me a bit.)

I was just wondering if there are any tutorials or how-to guides available for Designer such as the "for dummies" book.

Thanks again. :)

The f1 key has some good stuff tied to it.;) Also use the search on Coffeecups website. I think there are a few youtube videos
Check out the site in my signature. There's plenty there to keep you busy if your looking at some advanced html to add to your site.:)

Dhollaz, you dont need a guide for dummies if this technophobe (me) can master it anyone can

3 years ago at 53 YOA i couldnt work out how to switch on a pc, but thanks to CC VSD and the forum bunch (friendly lot) took some man hours but its basically WYSIWYG or IYNHAIF, if you need help as in forum

I learnt mainly by clicking on every tool and playing with it till i broke it, mostly it didn't brake

Basically just dont try actually working on a project till you have 1 (homepage) how you want it before you start adding new pages, every other page is a clone of the first one EDITED

editing 30 pages is a nightmare, so get one exactly how you want it, after that its simples

Thanks for the input. The interface does look pretty self-explanatory.
Used to use FrontPage 2003 until 1and1 web hosting told me this week they won't support that much longer. As an old dog myself, I'm not eager to learn new tricks, so I was looking for something that doesn't have too much of a learning curve.
Thanks! :)

I know WYSIWYG, but what on earth does the other one mean?

Even though VSD is pretty easy to figure out, a read through the Help Manual is a great way to get started. It's not very long, and it doesn't cover half of what VSD is capable of, but it gets the basic stuff answered so you can get moving on your site.
You could always get a good all around HTML/CSS book for when you want to take that basic VSD site beyond its WYSIWYG boundaries :D
