;)Oh come on Scott....why can't you do it all at once??? You "guys" are the best....but since I am new to CC....guess I'm not sure which came first...and it does make sense to develop it for the masses and than fine tune it for those of us SMART enough to stick with CC....
and as much as I hate to admit it, I've been around since punch cards and dBase programing, and I do not wish to try this on my own...

Hi

Just downloaded Web Image Studio Trial version and started to run it. Not knowing what to do, I clicked Help and Quick Start Guide (PDF). The hourglass showed for a few seconds then cursor turned back to normal although there is no PDF in view. I've since tried viewing existing PDF files by clicking them in Explorer but same things happen - busy (hourglass) cursor for a few seconds then nothing but normal cursor and no document viewing.
In other words, having installed WIS Trial, now Adobe viewer doesn't work! What has gone wrong and how do I fix it, please?

Many thanks

Hi Jack,
When I went from Vista (32 bit) to Win7 (64bit) I had problems with opening PDFs. Finally realized I needed to go through the Control Panel and reset what program would be used to view them. For some odd reason, Adobe Acrobat was set as the default program rather than the free Adobe Reader. Then I noticed my Adobe Reader was 2 versions behind the current one, so updated that. Now I get a message when I click on a PDF that tells me it can't be opened, but if I close the message - the PDF will open. Also, you could try a different reader. This one is very good:

Also, on my new computer, instead of just clicking a short-cut icon to open a program, I need to right-click and choose 'run as administrator' to get the program to open.

Another thing - check your program files, find Web Image Studio and see if you can open the help manual from there.

That's all I know :D But there's plenty of others around here to help you if you if none of the above applies to your situation. ;)

Many thanks
I'm using the same old XP (SP3) on an Acer box and the only thing that has changed (and therefore apparently causing the fault) is the installation of WIS Trial. Starting WIS instigated a download of FlashPlayer that seemed to go Ok.
I did try opening the Help Manual directly - same symptoms and failure.
I checked File Registrations and PDF was still set to Acrobat Reader (thanks for that pointer).
Out of frustration, I've downloaded Adobe Reader again and re-installed it. It seems to work now both opening files directly and using the Help menu within WIS.
The thing that worries me is why this happened. In UK, for software (installation or normal use) to alter something (like other software, file associations, etc) on your computer may be a criminal offence under Computer Misuse legislation so perhaps CC need to check what happens during their install?
Many thanks again & best wishes

Hiya Jack,

Could be that the WIS program utilizes a more updated version of the Adobe Reader than your computer was using? Hard to know for sure now since you've updated it already, but that would be my first guess that either the Adobe Reader had a bad install, not fully installed or something to do with that rather than the WIS program doing it. I can tell you for sure that the CC Software will only prompt you to "need" a program, it will not alter the installations of them.

I'm blaming Adobe! When I got this computer, I didn't even think about the Reader being out-dated. I was installing a lot of software, not just all my CC stuff, so I think it was more a problem with the old reader "choking" on newer PDF versions. Don't even get me started on Flash...

Glad to hear you're up and running, Jack! Welcome to Coffee Cup! :)

I am new to Coffeecup I would like to build my eCommerce website I am an authorize.net merchant and wish to have more control of my own site I have been piece milling my site, with HTML editor (seamonkey) and pasting html from trial version shopping carts/create buy now buttons, etc., but this is getting old. I downloaded CoffeeCup Shopping Cart Creator Pro first (over the weekend) and was trying to edited themes then I realized I needed CoffeeCup Shopping Cart Designer Pro.

Why aren't these programs integrated into one program?
There seems to be a steep learning curve is there a PDF manual for Shopping Cart Creator Pro?

Also I need to see if my server is up to the PHP requirement, it is a subsidiary/reseller of GoDaddy.

I would like to get a simple site up to try before the trial expires.

Thanks for any help.

We actually have a bundle you can buy that has them both. You can get this here at https://www.coffeecup.com/store/bundles/ecommerce-pro/

Godaddy doesn't have any resellers that I am aware of, if you get a Linux hosting account, you will be fine.

You should check out our S-Drive service that is fully integrated into Shopping Cart Creator (Basic and Pro). With just a few steps, you can publish to our service and be amazed at how much faster it is.

1. First, you need to create your S-Drive Account

2. Next, sign up for the S-Drive Shopkeeper plan

3. Click the Server toolbar icon, select S-Drive Account and enter in your CoffeeCup account information. Now select the address that you want to publish your shop to in the section that says Choose where you would like to publish this shop:

4. Click Publish

If you like what you see, you can even point your very own domain name over to your S-Drive account as well.

Enjoy!
