OK, just tested the ftp long link in my above posting and it works with my username and password....I can get into the files of my website on my server...but still can not get coffee cups ftp to take it.

Alllllll right I figured this out but now I have another problem.
First of all if anyone has this problem........this is what I did.
Under server.........I put in countryjoycrafts.com
then under remote folder.........instead of just putting html...........I put in /countryjoycrafts.com/html
and it worked. wooooo whoooooo
So now I have some pages that are in a sub folder on my site. Instead of being just under countryjoycrafts.com they are under countryjoycrafts.com/350Z.............so Im going to assume I have to make up another ftp with the folder in the remote folder name...........is this correct????

That is how it will work. What you should setup is a Website Project then. This way you can upload all your files at once.

I'm confused as to what you put in the VSD FTP setup screen.
Reading back through your posts, under the "server" field did you put in ftp.yoursitename.com/www.yoursitename.com?
If so that could be some/most of you problem.
It's either one or the other "ftp" or "www" but not both.
You should have gotten instructions from your host as to which one to use.
I'd remove all the files from the server and re-upload using the proper ftp setup.
VSD sends all the files to the server that it needs to support your site, you do not need to do separate uploads of the other pages.

Im not understanding you. I have a web site project.......its under my webs and had a folder with all the pix and buttons I have used and has approx 5 new pages that have been redone in it.
First of all I have some pages that are under countryjoycrafts.com/350Z/...........html. ... instead of just countryjoycrafts.com I can not find in the ftp where I can upload the page under the 350Z folders.
I see no folders in the ftp section at all.
Second..... why cant you upload a page at a time? It will take me all summer to redo my website and there are things that have sold, that have to be taken down now. I did approx 5 pages to test out this program and the only one that changed was the index page. None of the other did change.
Im not getting this.

Once your site is on line, when you make a change to a page, VSD typically only uploads the changes not the whole website - again.
So your telling us that you have a directory "web" and under that you have sub-directories of different websites and/or different pages of your web site?
Try this,
Make a new directory on your hard drive - I usually name the directory whatever the name of the site is, I maintain 8 different websites, this helps to keep straight who's on first, etc. Do not make it as a sub-directory under web.
Open up your web site in VSD and re-save it to the new directory. Your index/home page and all associated pages, graphics, etc will be saved in this directory.
Before you upload, either go into your server via an ftp program and either rename the directory your current site is in, ie: mysite_save or it could be public_html_save (depends on our host) make a new directory and try to re-upload your site.

I have the trial version of VSD...I'm about to purchase the registered version....but have one question...Does the registered version delete all the work I've done in the trial version??? May be a dumb question, but I need to know...I've done a lot of work in the program...By the way your software is amazing for a small business owner like myself!
I don't use VSD, so I can't be too sure, but I don't think you'll lose your work. To be safe, copy the folder and the .vnu file to a different location on your computer.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Ron, you should have been saving your work in a different directory, ie:c:mywebsite, or some such directory, different then the directory VSD is in.
Doing it that way assures that any updates that come down the pipe from CC will not affect your work.
But as Inger said, it always best to make a back up, if for not other reason, the evil hard drive crash monsters are always lurking.
