I just finished my webpage and I was using an older version perviously with no problem. (6.something) I have since updated to 7 and now whenever I try to publish it never finishes. It stops and brings up an error after about 5-10 mins saying my firewall or ftp or "its a fluke" but it was fine previously, its not my firewall and ive tried it in passive mode. Still it doesnt finish.

Where are all the files saved on my computer so I can upload using another ftp client?
I am using the visual site designer

edit: I found them in my documents folder in a folder titled the same as my project.
However I would still like some info as to why it would not update through visual site designer.
My webpage is 160mb or so

Steven can we have a link to your site, I have a suspicion it could be very large images or something, similar

as you have uploaded with ftp it should be easy to check

I was able to update using ftp zilla.
I do have a lot of photos but i have sized them properly, I assume the issue is because I am using the site for a photography page. Thus needed so many photos.

Thanks!

I thought as much , if you look carefully at the site in my signature for my friends photography, you will discover i broke it up into numerous sections

Homepages on their own website

Theres a site for friends and family

another for her personal portfolio

so on and so forth, also helps when uploading a new clients pictures as i don't have to touch her website at all, she uploads them separately to different folders

I had the same problem you were describing, hence this was my solution.
