populate drop down menus

I am making a form with drop down menus. There are about 300 options in this drop down. Do I have to enter each one by hand or can I copy/paste, pull from data file, etc.?

Yes I would use either a csv or mysql option for that many.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
