Hi Again

I have in vain been looking for the right spot to bring up my question. So if it's the wrong place, please tell me where to go

I have just published my first site ever (rothelund.dk) made in VSD Trial, used the treads heavely.
Used CC Photo Gallery, again with help from the treads.
Then I met the problem.

I need to connect to a folder not made within VSD, but a genealogy program that export the html code by something called CHM. I could make it work using the old Frontpage by Windows.
But I would like to do with VSD. What do I do.

The next problem will then arrive, I would like to use CCWAM to protect the folder where the genealogy files is located. but first things first, I have to make it work with VSD.

Kind regards Peter

Hi Peter. What is the name of the genealogy programme you are using? I'm into genealogy too, so maybe I know it. We Scandinavians do sometimes use the same programmes.

There are programmes that 'decompile' .chm files and convert them to html, one is here: http://gridinsoft.com/chm.php I have not tried it though, as my genealogy prog (Legacy) exports ready made html files.

Hi Inger
The programme is called Stamtræ

GEMprofi - FamilyTree v3.2(39910)
Apr 7 2009
Copynçht 1998 - 2008
Dr. Carsten Leue und Bernd v. Loeben

I can eksport them whitout CHM involved if that is better.

This one?

I don't know this programme myself, but I would think that for displaying the family files online, html format would be best.

I'll experiment a bit with it...

We can get back to the VSD integration and WAM later.

Hi Inger

I exportet from the genealogy program in standard HTML and it worked. The VSD did'nt agree with the CHM. Thanks for pointing that out.

Now I have the issue with WAM, so I will play a litte with that.

PS.
My Heritage is a "free" online service and just like some others social network, they can use the information on the site, whitout I can do anything. They have to get their money from someone.

So i prefer the SW I buy and in my control. Don't you ?

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Eric
I f..... up my ovn setup because i was'nt focused. I was tired.:|
I have fixed it and tested "test" , it worked.
Please try it.
My problem is that I'm not able to see, when I will be logged out.
I'm still logged in even if I boot my machine.
Can you or anyone else bring me closer to a understanding of what is going on.
What is the trigger to be logged off ?
Can I alter that,whatever it is ?

By the way I'm pleased with the trial SW, so I'm going to purchase VSD, WAM and Photo Galleri.
It worked great.

Try inserting these meta tags into the head of the login page:

<meta-http-equiv="Refresh" content="3; URL=http://mydomain.com">
<meta-http-equi="Expires" content="Tue, 01 Jan 1980 1:00:00 GMT">
<meta-http-equi="Pragma" content="no-cache">

Not sure if you need all of them, you'll have to try.
Instead of mydomain.com you write the url of your login page (the black one that has the login box)

BTW I tried your login, and it works. I also see that I didn't find the right programme, the one you are using.
