OK, created a basic site in SCCP, created some categories and sub-categories etc. Gave it a name and saved in the location that it wanted to save it in which was the desktop. When I open SCDP, to open the file, it shows up as a "file folder" can't open the file that I created in SCCP.

Is it possible to add more pages to the shopping cart rather than just having the basic "Home" "View Cart" & "Categories" pages or should I do that with having links say on the Home page.

Inger I was born in Turkey but I am Armenian. Been in Canada most of my life. Sorry.

Hi Ara,
In SCCP click on pages at the top. Now on the right hand side panel click the little green plus (+) sign next to the pencil. You can add up to five addition pages through the program but I have a work around to add more if you need them.:)

Thanks Eric 5 pages will be more than enough. One thing though, I just added a page and it seems to only put the link at the bottom of the page, it does not put the link to the new page at the top. I tried a few different themes and it seems to do the same in all of them.

Is the search bar not functional in the trial version? When it is functional, what info does it search? the title, the short description or the long item description.

Any ideas how I can open the cart in the designer?

Thanks for the quick replies!! especially on Christmas day.

It places the addition page links under the Shop Home menu as a sub link. If you want them on a page just hand code links into your page using the HTML tool.
The search should work in the trial version but I don't think it will work until you actually publish your site because the shop is php based.
Do you have SCDP installed on your pc?

Type shopping cart designer pro in your search bar in windows and the short cut to the program should be at the top of the list.:)

You edit the theme that your using making it appear as you want it to in SCDP. Then you use SCCP to add the actual text and products that will appear. SCDP has filler text so you get the idea of what the site will generally look.

Ara, after you made/saved your theme did you export it to SCCP? If so, when you open SCCP, you should find it under Themes/My Themes (top menu).

It took me a bit of trial and error to figure out how this all goes together  Don't just save it – Export it. Then, whenever you need to make some changes in the Designer, hit export again and re-open the shop from the My Themes (in SCCP). :)
