It might not be spam. After all, he's right, that site is in need of a major "revamping". :)

If your dead set on keeping that image as a front page, then I think VSD and image mapper is the way to go. The image mapper will allow you to place links on the Photoshop image any place you want and VSD will allow you to publish it.:)

Hi Eric - Ok I went with the Image Mapper & VSD. Because it seemed like the 2 I needed most!?

I just image mapped my whole photoshopped main front page for all the different links I needed.. Now when I saved it, here is what I am thinking now...

Now from my image mapped areas for all the seperate pages... How do I link them to that Image Mapped Area?? The file isn't a image anymore its a html code where I made link buttons, but that code is open ended, they dont link/travel to the actual pages behind it (because I havent designed them yet.)

How do I use that Photoshopped Main Page, that I just image mapped... with the pages I am going to design? How do I put those codes or links into that main one? I cant open that thing I just Image Mapped in VSD?

Do you you know what I mean?

I guess you need to have the 'photoshopped image mapped' image as your page background, or as an image covering the content area of your site. So you create a page with VSD, insert the above mentioned image and then create one of the pages that you want to link to, in order to see if it works.

I'm no specialist on VSD since I'm a coder, but if I'm waayy off track, Eric or Paintbrush surely will correct me ;)

Well, he's got some twitter stuff on the page, and that will probably be of a more recent date than the site itself. If that can pass as 'vamping'. :P

John Inger is right on. Make sure the code will point to your Photoshop image and paste the image map code into a HTML box on your VSD page and make the box the size of your image.:)

John, I think you're making this way harder than it should be. You can create your buttons within VSD, and use the link tool to turn them into links – no code required. Just a few clicks and you're done. Then you can copy/paste your menu to each page. If you use the PS image as your background with hotspots for navigation, that's going to be a huge pain in the @$$ if you ever want to make any changes. :o

Could you post a pic or a screenshot of your PS page? It would help if we could see how you have this layed out :)

Look at the top of your image map code and tweak the code to point to where you added the image in VSD.
It might look similar to this.
<!-- Beginning of Client Side Image Map -->

<img src="imagemap/myhomepageimage.jpg" USEMAP="#NotNamed" BORDER=0>

So change the imagemap/myhomepageimage.jpg to where you added the image in VSD and your image name.:)
