Hi' I'm using VSD and my background image is 790 x 792 yet for some reason it is being scaled down to 524 x 526 IIs there a way to make this appear larger? When i preview my test page there is a lot of blank space on both sides of the background image and header. almost a 1/3 of the size on either side. I tried resetting the page size but nothing happens. Can someone tell me how to do this exactly?
Also I can't seem to view the bottom of my page in the edit mode, yet it shows up in the preview mode. I tried the "control & the minus keys" but that did not change the screen.
I also wanted to ask if there is a way to make a change on one page, that would change all of the other pages across the board as well. Sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to work out the bugs on my end.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
Making the background image appear...
Hi Holly,
What size is the actual page? Two ways to see this: Settings > Standard Settings for New Pages and/or the Page icon. First, make sure your page size is what it needs to be. VSD will scale an image down to fit a page that's smaller than the image. Also, if you change your page size; for example, making it shorter, some things can be "cut off" in VSD if you don't move them up to fit within the page dimensions.
790 x 792 is kind of odd for a background size... Is this image supposed to repeat to fill the screen? Go to Settings > Background Fill and choose to continue the fill beyond the page borders. If not, you can set the screen background to display a different color/image from the page. In VSD, you'll still see the white space but do a preview and you'll see your background. If it's only going to appear on the page, you might re-work it in an editing program to see if you can make it a size that will fill your page. Do you have a link so we can see what you want to do?
For repeating pages... Once you have everything set, when you click the Add Page icon, you'll have the option to copy an existing page. I like to make a page that has just the graphics, logo and whatever else will be repeated on every page so I have sort of a 'master page' that just needs the content and images popped into it. If you do copy an existing page that has a lot of stuff on it, first de-select (it will copy with everything selected), then Shift+Click everything you don't want on that page and delete it.
Be sure to name your pages as you create them so they'll show up in your link options when you make your menus/navigation.

I set the page now at 960 x 1050 which definitelty helped. Thank you. I'm not sure if this is a good size for people to see everything on various monitors, but right now it fits everything that I need. If it has to be resized for visitors viewing capabilities, I can do so. Right now it's not live for anyone to even see.
I'm still working out all of the bugs on my end, such as trying to delete or even rename pages.
You had mentioned naming them as I create them, but even though I give them a title when I use the "Add Page" feature, it still just names them numerically, thus my reason for wanting to rename or even delete them and start over.
Even with all of these little hiccups, i think this program is one of the best and definitely the most user and forum friendly!

Holly, right under the Page Titles, enter your page names in that Page ID box.

Glad you're making some progress
