Maintaining an Existing Shopping Cart

I am helping someone with their website - I'm really not a web designer, but can figure out basics. She's from a generation way before computers came on the scene & the technical stuff is a bit much for her.
Other people have done this in the past for her, so I am trying my best to assist.

Her website has a small shop area that was started in coffee cup. Now it needs another item.
I tried the demo Coffee Cup Shopping Cart Creator, but I sure can't find how to make it open the whole project. I grabbed project_files folder and contents, and the text/copy and pricing, and categories import, but I don't get the images, the backgound, etc.

Do I need to try to get the whole shop folder (the host file manager doesn't offer that very easily)?
Do I need to start all over, and if so this app doesn't seem to offer the editing of the layout?

I appreciate your assistance. Also, the most cost effective way to approach this would be helpful to know, as this is not a for-profit thing :)

Thanks
Doug

One more question, the non shopping areas of her site are static right now but would really benefit if I switch it to a content management system. Maybe then she could keep her calendar and articles updated herself. Wordpress seems easy for people to get the knack of.
Is there a coffee cup application that can build a theme for the common cms'?
Thanks again.

Do you have all the original shop files?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Assistance for this lady has been given by one person after another without a real hand-off or info package for the next person. People have helped as they could, then get on to other things and, well, I am trying to put together and figure out how to carry on.
I was given a big zip file that I am digging through. It has a .vnu file and a couple of .sct files. No .scp though.
I am starting to be concerned - the web deployment doesn't seem to contain the source for the ongoing care and maintenance. The static pages come from a CC application too.

The .vnu files are for Visual Site Designer and the .sct is a Shopping Cart theme file.
Do you know if she actually has the software on her computer? If neither of you have the software, you'll need to get it to be able to make changes and updates. Either that, or start from scratch.

Wordpress is an option, but some non-webby types find it just as daunting to edit/maintain as any other site.

Another option is a Coffee Cup SDrive account. Everything is hosted on CC's "cloud". No FTP required, just a simple log-in to access sites, shops, files, etc. It also includes a Stream, which can be used like a blog or as a way to present news/articles and photos. If you're going to continue helping her with this, check it out – it makes it easy for you, too. As long as you have the log-in info, you can access the dashboard from anywhere to get at the files.

Good luck! (I have one client who has never even used email... challenging to say the least!) :D

Whoever did the coffee cup work for my friend is unavailable. I can load the software on my machine, I have a trial of ccscc. It does not accept import of the sct file, it seems to want an scp.
Do I have to start from scratch?

you need all the files the program created as well as the .scp file and the theme file that ends in .sct
