Hi CoffeeCup Users,
My name is Walt Benecki. I live and work in Seattle, Washington. Small business owner. Working on new website for the business. Three components to the business (number 4 is in the works):
1. Wholesale
2. Retail store
3. Services
4. On-line store
Resisting the tendency to be stressed about the web development process. I find the CoffeeCup Support Room to be always reassuring regardless of the clarity of answers.
Adam suggested I come to the forum for more detailed assistance with design issues I am presently struggling with.
I am currently using Visual Site Designer. Not far along so open to suggestions for switching to another software.

HI Walt,
I think VSD is a good choice to get you feet wet with minimal soaking. If you get comfy and have more time to wade, you might want to take a look at the html editor to build a site. Starting with a them will greatly speed the process. If it's an online store your looking for take SCCP for a trial spin and see if it will do everything you need. It's much easier to find a shop theme you like in SCCD and SCCP and make a website to match those then the other way around. Welcome to the forum.:)

Dear Eric,
I am open to using the HTML Editor. Both apps are confusing to me so if there is a distinct advantage to HTML in the long run I am open to it. Of course, I do not expect to ever be fluent in programming so I would only want to use the HTML Editor if the majority of the code I need is available somewhere. Or maybe its not too bad to program it all from scratch. ??????
I am looking to make an ambitious site to share information on organic horticulture, promote our products and services, and make sales on the web.
Walt
PS What does SCCD and SCCP stand for? I am guessing SCCP equals Shopping Cart Creator Pro.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
