HTML5 Issues

Hi All,

I just downloaded and installed the new version of the CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor. I am trying to use some of the new elements (tags) for HTML5. None of the new elements I've used so far are working when I go to the preview tab. For example, the placeholder element is not working. Also, it appears my HTML file can not see (link to) the CSS file. I am somewhat familiar with how this stuff is suppose to work. Did I need to install a web server too? Where should my files be place to see the new HTML5 elements at work and the results of the CSS file. Right now, the files are in the "CoffeeCup Sofware/My Website" directory. I know I must have overlooked something, but I don't know what. Oh BTW, I really like the editor. Thanks in advance.

Help,
Calvin

What version of IE do you have installed Calvin? You need to have at least version 8.0.

Scott,

Once again, thanks for your reply. I got IE 8 this morning. Things are working pretty good except the placeholder attribute of the text box is not showing the text. I don't know what's up with that. Also, I didn't realize you needed to be connected to the internet for the preview tab to display the page properly, but that's cool.
