I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Where does VSD put the linked files (such as PDFs) on the server when published? Which directory will they go into?

I tried to add the PDF in visual site designer but it keeps giving me a not found file in the IE window. I'm trying to do it on my laptop with no internet as that is where I design most of the stuff and then copy to my server. I created an image, selected link, pointed to the document and then tried the preview. Will it work this way or am I doing something wrong.

For some reason the link to pdf's doesn't work locally. It will work after you publish on your live site.:)
