Truth be told, I have no idea what you're trying to ask sorry. So let me go over just a few things and see if these are even close to what you're wanting to know:

1. When you purchase the software, you can export the code to put it on your own server which I'll assume you have a website host already right? If so you don't have to do any Database stuff at all, it's all taken care of as long as your hosting company has setup your account with PHP of the required version (check here for what is required: http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … m-builder/

If your server has the correct PHP setup, then you don't need to worry about anything at all with databases unless you really need that as the form is pretty self sufficient and takes care of all the server stuff for you. In other words, you put the code it gives you on the page, you upload the files it tells you to (make sure to read it carefully and not upload the folder with the _exported at the end of the name, upload the files "inside" that folder). That's all there is to it.

2. You can continue to use S-Drive for as long as you want if you don't want to do your form on your own server. Fees are setup according to your plan so you'll have to check your S-Drive plan to know how many times your form can be used when it's hosted on S-Drive. When you host it on your own server there are no limitations.

Width of the form can be set in the Form Builder itself on the last tab "Form Options". There you can tell it how wide you want the form to be. Height will usually go with however your form is setup and will pretty much set itself up for you once you have all your elements in place where you want them. Play with the width percentages of the elements as well as the padding of the elements to get them placed exactly how you want them. You shouldn't "have" to edit any of the sizing outside of the program, but you can do so if you choose to.

The setup on S-Drive will work exactly as it does now on the free version, you'll just have the ability to export the form to use on your own server, that's really the only main advantage to the software purchase, but the help on the forums is quite worth the price too.

Hope that covers most of what you were asking, if I've missed something, can you explain a little differently so I can understand what you're needing to know? Thanks and good luck! :)

Thanks very much, that was a very informative post which covered everything and once again sorry for all the questions.

all makes perfect sense now. Going to go Ahead with purchasing Coffee cup which has to be a good asset to anyone interested in Forms etc

Since this one website alone will have 4 different types of forms it's best to use my host server. Only Reason s-drive is appealing is due to my lack of knowledge in coding as it provides databases for each form which is exactly what i need.

Hope Setting up MySQL With Each form isn't to difficult? if it is please let me know. Already been looking through few threads on here with some posts by Eirc providing useful links to setting up mysql , phpmyadmin. Really need a database to keep track of submissions for each of the 4 forms.

In the process of deciding on a host, will be calling them this week to make sure they have whats required.

Anyway before We come to an end.. Still need to know how to change the height of this form without removing any fields? needs to be at 442px. as long that can be done straight froward i can get on it right away..

appreciate all the support

Looks to me that you have the form set to 250px wide in form builder. Open it back up in form builder and alter the forms width.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

If you change the width as I mentioned in my other post, and as Eric is suggesting in the previous post, you will then be able to put some of the elements side by side which will then make the form shorter. I'm assuming you're trying to make it not so tall so doing that will fix most of that issue. make it wider then rearrange your elements so they are side by side instead of each on their own line and you'll get the look you're after. You can do that in the free version to make sure it's what you're trying to do. Go to the Form Options tab (last tab at the top right of the program) you can alter the width of your form there. Be sure you have a form open first :P Good luck!

Unfortunately the most the width can go is 295 which i'm not sure will be enough to place any fields side by side. I'll have to have a look / maybe re design it and get back.. lets see

Just thought with the code eric provided, allows text fields to be adjusted which could do the trick however not possible to tell for sure yet as i havn't got the right code due to version of software etc and so can;t test for myself so was hoping someone could let me know if it would make a big difference or not..

i'm pretty confident with smaller text boxes, smaller notes box and maybe font might be enough to bring the height down keeping feilds in tact same time..

i'll try and make some adjustments now..

I'm not sure what you are changing or trying to change for the width of the form but you can most definitely make them wider than 295 so check again as they can be set to pretty much whatever width you want. Maybe you're using a very old version or a badly designed theme for it or something?

Sorry could have been more clear. Dimension for width/height were for the area that's available to work within on the site page. Hope that makes sense.

Anyway looks like it's been figured out finally. placing the titles beside the field compared to the top made the form much smaller whilst still looking the part. Overall i'm happy with the out come, only wish i thought of it earlier before over thinking the whole thing.

Much appreciated to all of you for the help and efforts. Much love.

Before i go just wanted to know if the process of setting up coffee cup on a host server using mysql is a difficult process for someone with no background in coding? Understand coffee cup generates tables which help organize forms uploading files etc making the process simpler. Just wondering how much tougher it gets as their is quite allot of stuff to it with phpmyadmin etc.

What would you guys suggest for my situation might be a better question. 4 forms- payment/quote/contact/tracking?
business is likely to be quite first few months during the start up building up customer base etc

Quick question:

Have the form looking the way it' supposed to be. Was looking at the Height and it doesn't look to be accurate.

Reason for say is after previewing both web pages for my site and the form on firefox to see if it would fit.Opened form in a different window and made it smaller to fit form size placed over window where web page preview was. The Form looks small and will fit very easily leaving extra height however when i measure the distance on the web editor it says the space is only 465px high and after checking the form code the height shows at 543px hence why i was trying make it smaller. Any idea why its showing as bigger or why both width height scales don't match with xara web and coffecup even when both are measuring in PX.

Thanks

The extra height of the iframe is to accommodate the form errors. You can set the max errors to one in the app to reduce this.

If you have any lin ks with resources on Mysql + coffee cup + writing PHP codes notes etc Anything that might be useful please post them.
