Hey Everyone:)
Hope your all doing well.
i'm looking for any advice you can share on coffee Cup Web form builder ($69)
Planning to launch my first web site. Finally pursuing my passion for designing after many years and so want to it to be Flawless or close to. The nature of the site if a repair company. With around 50 pages. Each page has form which is a specific size. Site is still in the design process and not yet published however I have been using a free form all this time linked with paypal that generate a preview. it's only when i cam across coffee cup forms and the ability to customize letter/fonts i decided to switch over.
Not long after looking into coffee cup i was informed the site would need to be published in order to view the form.
My concerns are if the form can be easily added to such a web site with many pages were positioning of the form is very particular and must be precise. I understand this might be a trial and error process of uploading until satisfied. Want to point out i;m still getting to grips with coding and so want to keep this simple. Not very familiar with coding.
Second concern is if i can resize the form. I've made a from i'd like to use with the demo version however see no option to resize. Will this be an issue or can we easily get round it?
Main concern is resizing the forms easily.
I've designed the site to have 4 contact forms on in total:
3 will be on every product page(50 pages)
-very small tracking form(consisting of two text fields / email+number)
-quick qoute (basic details+drop down menu etc)
-booking repair (taking booking for repair services and making a payment)
1 will be on the contact page equaling to 4 forms all together.
Each form is a different size and i've noticed coffee cup web forms are a little too big for me. i understand i can manage the forms separately however it's the size of the forms i'm not sure on how to change.
sorry for the long one, making sure i've covered most of it.
thanks for looking & talk soon

Clearly need your help, and advice would be really helpful please

Hi g_jaurre
All of your forms can be made to pretty much any size needed through the app. I've made some really small forms and some really big forms. Within these has been a complete range of widths and heights. The form builder aslo makes responsive forms so it will resize it's self according to the device that it's being viewed on. The responsive part requires the rest of your page also be responsive.
Welcome to the forum.

I'd also like to say 'Howdy'!
CC Web Form Builder is very flexible and can be adjusted as Eric has stated. Once you have the code for the form adding it to your pages is as simple as pasting the code where you want it. ( I guess depending on what you are using to create your web page...) If your web page is not responsive then your form will not be responsive. There is no 'magic button' to re-size your form. You should simply create a 'small form' and a 'large form', or whatever you need. Adding them to your many pages can be done one at a time, or you can use a php include. Simply save the form code as a text file and 'include' it on your page where you want the form to appear. That way if you change the form you'll only need to update 1 file and all your pages will show the new form.
You'll find, once you make your purchase, that you can create a FREE web site on CoffeeCup's S-Drive system. This is great for testing sites you don't want to go 'live' with. You'll also find that we're a fairly friendly bunch and if you run into trouble and need help there are many very good people here that will help you out.
So, take the plunge and welcome to the forums!

Interesting information regarding responsive forms, Something to keep in mind for future reference.
guess there's really only one way to find out now. I'll get right on the form, hopefully have the site up in a week or so.. Hopefully i won't run into too many problems. I'll be in touch to let you know it gets on.
Will be using xara web designer 9 pro for this particular project until i finish a small course on coding, allowing me to step into dreamweaver. Anyway Xara lets you draw a rectangle and have placeholders for forms to embed HTML head + body. very straight forward process. Wondering If an already made form i made earlier can be added where you simply resize the placeholder object(rectangle which holds the form) to reach right size. Hope that made sense?
Just made the booking form which involves the client filling out a detailed form, exact same as the quick quote form i plan to do,instead it's with payment. The quick quote form needs to look smaller although have same fields without payment.
Currently the form looks big not sure how to resize it so it all fits correctly. Sorry if i missed the answer, having a late night. Should i just change the font etc.
oh it's a template form used as the base to build around. Will it have to maybe be built from scratch? or maybe just try and copy it to the web design program resizing it there, although not sure if it will change the coding which in turn will not make a difference. Can;t say exactly.Lets see. Going to play around some more.
thanks once again.
Quick Update:
managed to Reduce the form size quite allot By simply changing the font size and margins which compacted everything more, but not enough to fit in the space i need it to. Any ways to make the text box a smaller size? The Fonts seems to be the right size just white text box is big. Need to know your thoughts on this. I'm happy with this form. If i can get the right height were good to go. So far width is not an issue just height.
Should i post the file up maybe with dimensions i'm after if that helps.

You can assign custom css to your form to make the inputs smaller then the app allows.

Is this done within coffee cup or through the Designer Program.
Apologies if this sounds silly, does the custom css involve simply changing the code. looking for the box dimensions and adjusting accordingly?
thanks for your time

After you do a manual export of your form you have full access to all the css and html to tweak things to your needs. It's pretty simple and if you make a form and publish it we can look at it and help you make the needed changes.

thanks a bunch Eric. Was Doing Just as you said. Wish i had done this earlier instead. Figured it would be fun to test everything out using coffee cups free website feature. I'm really liking the program so far.
Okay so the most space that it can take up:
W-298px
H-442px
Remember it's height that needs shortening, width is fine and can be adjusted easily. Ifs it's not too complicated let me know, i'll try to have a go at it.
the form is here.
http://devicerepair.coffeecup.com/contact.html
Only need to add a payment option which hopefully doesn't take up any space as it will be required once the form is submitted.
thanks for looking

/form.js?name=gizmo%2520form%25201%26slug=252823%26width=300%26height=442%26crossdomains=true%26rand=" + Math.floor( Math.random() * 1000000000 ) + "' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));</script>
Here is some of the code. Where the height was at 700 before i changed to 442. Is it as simple as this or will i have to change a few other parts. I've tried to do this however the form stays the same height. Where am i going wrong
