I have relayed this to the Coffeecup staff. I still can't understand from where you got that project. There is nothing like that in my sample of the html Editor.

I'm not sure what you're talking about either Matt. None of the HTML Editor themes or layouts are in Spanish or any other foreign language at startup. None of the default themes have that name or a dark red background either. Not sure what the forum.html thing is either unless that's something you already have on a website?

Deep Red Maybe?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi
I've just installed the Free HTML Editor at work (although I'm not allowed really). I went into Theme/Layout Choose where there is a Default Themes < Center Stage. The language is clearly not in English - it could be French I'm not sure. This is the Theme that loaded up for me at home this morning even though I chose a new web site option.

In fact,, all of the Default Themes that install with HTML Editor show in Spanish/ a foreign language.

See what you think!! I work in IT Support and this whole situation could throw someone for six especially if they are not very IT literate.

I attach a screen-shot which shows a template which contains Spanish/French/non-English wording examples - see what you think. Sorry, but the largest file I could attach was 100Kb also.

Cheers
Matt

Hiya Matt,

A few of us are discussing this and well... we think you are referring to the text in the content that is actually in Latin. That is filler text only, it's not meant to be used, it's just to show you what it could look like when you put your own text and content in the page. All themes throughout the internet usually start that way when it's a purchased or supplied theme with software.

What you do is just replace that text with your own text. The code itself is not foreign, only the "content" areas of the theme are Latin. You would have to change this no matter what HTML type editor you used or what theme you started with even outside of CoffeeCup's software. :)

That 'forum.html' does it by any chance say 'form.html'? I see from your screen shot that there is a Contact us page, and it probably has a form on it.

And that foreign looking text starts with 'Lorem ipsum...' so then it is that Latin filler text that was mentioned by Jo Ann, and it doesn't say anything about how to use the theme.

Hi
The confusion stems from this.
If I say load a default Theme, save and exit ok.
Then reload CoffeeCup, click the New Website Project button, give the project a Name and choose the location of the default CoffeeCup Software\HTML Editor\Projects folder, then all the previous .html etc are recalled - even though I chose New Website Project.

So its basically letting me choose a project directory which has already used before.

So anyway, that's where the confusion started !!! I expected it to load me a new Project when I clicked on New Website Project - which is what I would expect for a beginner :)

Cheers
Matt

If you choose a location that already has files in it that is always going to happen. If you choose the default location that the software has, that's most likely also where you saved the default theme files that you opened before shutting down, so that's what it's going to choose to load if you choose that same location for the new project.

It's actually a better practice to setup your own project area outside of the program too so that it's never an issue if the program messes up (heaven forbid, and it's never happened that I'm aware of lol) which gives you the added ability to structure it how you want it.

Either way, make new locations for each project, don't put them all in the same directory :)
