I am using the evalution version of shopping cart creator and designer. When I select a theme there are images and text on the home page. How do I remove these images? For example I selected the "Fresco" theme for my shopping cart. It has a picture of a stack of pencils and text that says Welcome to your Soft store. But I dont see how I delete/edit the image of the pencils. Nor do I see how to edit the 'Soft Store Text' in either the cart designer or cart creator. What am I missing here? What i the methodology?

Open your theme in the SC Designer (I'm using the Pro version), click on the image area and look at the options (right side). It should say Spotlight Area. You'll see you can delete it, add your own image plus other options for position, font (if you want to put some text there), borders, padding and margins.

The easiest thing to do (for me anyway), is to make a new image for that area with any heading text included using an image editor then delete the Spotlight pic and add my own.

If you have Web Image Studio, you can open the individual Fresco graphic files with it for even more options. Makes it fast and easy to (for example) change the whole color scheme with just a few clicks.

You then export your customized theme to the SC Creator. Type in your text, set up your products, etc., when you preview, you'll see it all come together. It takes some back and forth between the Designer and the Cart, but you get used to it fast enough. Not everyone wants to customize the themes (can't imagine that!), so the 2 programs are offered separately although they're made to work together.

Where would I find the Fresco graphic files to edit in Web image studio?
I have just scraped up to buy the shopping cart pro as the original shopping cart was a bit useless without inventory control and now I find I can't edit any of the themes in the old version of cart designer I had bought with the original prog.
Can you use web image studio to do the editing as a get round for not having the new cart designer?

I think the answer to that is NO

But you could possibly use a free trial download of SCDP i think you can publish from it while in trial period

worth an experiment if you have time to complete your edits

Do keep in mind that you will "need" the Pro version of the Designer if you want to do any changes at all to your theme, including but not limited to, sizing of images, moving anything around in any way etc. The Basic version will not work with themes for the Pro version of the Cart Creator. Might want to consider upgrading that program also.
