Different Programs Questions.

I dont know why when I tried to go on seperate topics sections they wouldnt let me start a topic?? So I am going to out my questions for the new programs I got here!

VSD: I have been bringing in images for all my different buttons, I took paintbrushes advice instead of doing the image mapping. So now when I bring in an image it comes in not as the exact size it is... but a adjusteable size. Which makes its kinda hard to match each button when you have to eyeball it.

Question - Is there a way to bring in images at the exact size without having to adjust it by eye?? Is there a key you hold down OR do you have to always adjust everything by eye?

Shopping Cart Creator Pro: 2 Questions

1) I see that there is themes for your shopping site, now I just started and I have my products brought in with the descriptions, as for the Themes do all the Themes they show, do they allow you to put your logo at the top OR do all these themes have to look exact like they show them in the thumbnails?? Is there a way to tweek it?

I like the "Designer Stuff" Theme... but does my store have to have the words "Designer Stuff Shop" at the top or can I change that and put my logo?

2) How do I set the quanities for every product?? I have with some of my products only 4 left and if I cant set that and Im not home I might get a ton of orders and some of that stuff I dont want to reorder, i'd like to just get rid of it! Where is the section/way to set your Quanities for each product?

Thats all I have at the moment :) I might come back to this topic when new things come up!

John - for your images, after you click the Insert Image tool, just click once on your page (don't drag the mouse - just 1 quick click) and the image will be at its original size/proportions. If you end up with the image in an odd sized bounding box, you can either delete it and try again or enter the correct dimensions in the Object Properties box.
I've got to run, so I'll leave the Shop stuff for someone else :D

1. If you have SCDP you can tweak your theme to look how you want. Otherwise the only way to tweak the header logo would be to edit the a logo the same size as the current and name it the same and ftp to the directory on the server which would have to be done everytime you publish your shop through SCCP.
2. You can import products with cvs file with all you needed info.
3. You can set quantities in your shop so that a sold out sign appears after their gone.

I hope this answers most of your questions.:)

Sorry for so many questions - learning on the fly! A week ago I never even used photoshop so im kinda do a crash course on allot of things.

Ok with the Shopping Cart Creator Pro.. as well as the non pro one, How do you see a mockup of your store with the theme as well as your materials you want to sell? I went to themes and chose one. How do I get to see it all put together before I upload it to the site?

Also, in the Shopping Cart Creator, they have a basic theme - just black & white no bells or whistles, in the thumbnail of it - it looks like it shows an open box where you can put your logo. How do I do that in that program?

Thank you!

in SCDP export your tweaked theme. Now in SCCP click on Themes at the top and then My Themes under Choose a theme. Now click on Preview then Preview Shop.:)

Thank you Eric I appreciate all the help for this rookie! :) its been a wild 2 weeks of learning a bunch of CC programs but photoshop too. This is the funniest/best crash course ive ever had :)

I had a question - ok I have my other pages built and they are saved in VSD so I have files that are VSD Files.

Now on my main page with all my menu link buttons and now I can click on those and set them as links to page addresses.

Now question - How do I "link" the pages I build to those buttons? Do I do that in my hosting center or do I do that in VSD?? How does that menu link button I chose ... to that page I built and its saved as a VSD file - how do I make that "created link" ... link to the page I built?

Does that make sense?

If I'm reading you right you want to link buttons you made on a VSD page to other VSD pages on your site. Click on the button that you want to add a link to. Now click on the "Link" button at the top of VSD. In the Link properties box that opens select a page from the drop down box that says "Page in this Website". Now at the bottom select how you want the link to behave next to "Target".:)
