My Host Provider is GoDaddy.com. I am interested in buying CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer because the GoDaddy Web Creation software is too cumbersome.

My question: Has anyone experience any compatibility issues with CoffeeCup and DoDaddy?

I noticed CoffeeCup requires a "Remote Folder" while GoDaddy requires a "Root Directory" is this the Same?

There are different terms for the root directory. When you FTP into Godaddy shared hosting, you are in the root http directory. You can't go any higher. Leave the remote folder blank.

Local = Your PC
Remote = The Server
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Thanks Tomalicious. I did spend some time looking at the forums at GoDaddy and CoffeeCup and I have concluded no "Major" compatibility issue. Just minor issues.

I'm currently in College and working on hyperlinks within Word docs to emphasize certain subject matter without going over length constraints (word and page limits) in my reports. I understand I need a FTP account to make this possible. I've downloaded the free version of Coffeecup and it says I need a host like Go Daddy, is this right, and how do I go about this, thanks, rooster62?

I'm assuming like with most hosting services - that you are going to have to go onto the GoDaddy web site and see what different services are on offer. Find the one that suits your needs best and go for it.

If you purchase software from Coffeecup you will be able to use them as a host for free using S-Drive.:)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I will certainly give you guys a shot. I was looking around for an easy to read and use developer system and I see that your interface is down to earth and relatively easy to follow. However when I try the s-drive, I keep getting a "Whoops, page not available?"
Error 404, am I doing something wrong here, I am anxious to get rolling! Thanks, rooster62.:cool:

The hyperlink you have under the upper right (within the editor) that says I've successfully formed the s-drive account: http://www.coffeecup.com

You can't use the CC HTML Editor to upload you site to S-Drive at this time. You can however use CC's Direct ftp program to upload the files to S-drive after you make them in the editor.:)
