Hiya Kendrick,

Who are you hosting your site with? This might help us to help you make sure you have the right settings in the program. Sometimes the programs settings aren't exactly like an FTP program settings would be. So let's start there and see where we can go with getting you uploading correctly :)

Ok I'll take a crack at this and first find out what you have put into the remote address part. Should be something like /public_html or /public_html/
I've found that some programs want that trailing forward slash / and some don't
Is this what you have there? If not, give that a try, if so then double check your login information to make sure it's correct. It should be the main account settings that you use to log into cPanel.

Lastly, if the above is for sure already correct, check to make sure your security software isn't blocking the upload. You can do this by turning off your security software for a few minutes while you upload. If it is blocking it, see if you can find the settings to trust the program and the connection.

Let me know if any of that was helpful and if not, we'll have to try from there and hopefully someone else will have some other ideas too.

ok, ill give that a shot, i already have that but see im editing a site someone else made because he doesn't do it anymore. but i have all the info, i got tha acc info right i cross checked it with firezilla. but i had the folder as /public_html/wwwuni/test

i added the subfolders as well because i want to put my new website in a test folder so i can /test at the end of my url n take a look at the site ive made before i change it out with the other site..... does it work like that? or must i only put /public_html/?

it should work fine that way as long as you already have those folders created on the server

hehe no not the cpanel security, but your computer's security software, like your virus scanner and/or firewall on your computer. See if you can turn it off or disable it/them temporarily for a few minutes while you try uploading.
