Gunsmoke I checked out that link and it did give one reference to borders by inserting the suggested code which I will try out on a test page. But!.... There must be a way in VSD to easily add borders around text, pics, and pages where you can set width and color. It seems like it should be a simple and common action to do. Hopefully I'll get a few more people to respond. I love the CC VSD. Once you get over the learning curve it is straight forward, user friendly and can be manipulated quite a bit to get the effects one wants. Just couldn't figure out borders. It is probably staring me in the face.
Thanks again

I don't think you can do 'borders' from within VSD without the code on Eric's page. I've never been able to anyway. 'Course I could have missed it to. But the code for text borders does work fine. Just a little more work to add in. But hey, it's all fun! :P

Gunsmoke thanks again. I tried the code but couldn't quite figure out how to use it. Maybe Eric will see this post and give me a quick lesson. I'm not very good with html. Just seems very strange that there isn't a way in VSD to put borders around items. or pics. It is such a common thing to do. I'll wait and see if anyone else responds. This is my first time using the forum. Your help is appreciated. If anyone reads this and has ideas I would love to hear them or read them. TIA.

Gunsmoke I think I just figured out a way to do borders. If you take the line object in the section where you add shapes it can be placed around the page and objects then you can turn it into any color, length and width you want. You have to do each side separately but you end up with a border.

Hi Folks. Had to sign off last night my eyes were bugging out but I woke up to all of these great suggestions. There are many ways as Gunsmoke said and I now have borders where I want borders. CC is such a good platform. I recommend it to everyone. If I need more help I will ask.

Thank you. Joe
