Hello,

I have basically no HTML coding experience. I previously used Yahoo! SiteBuilder and I loved it. From that I was (forced) to learn to not write but understand some BASIC code. I know enough to be dangerous basically.

My question is if I use the CC WYSIWYG builder am I then able to make changes in the html code using the CC HTML editor?

I want to make these changes for SEO purposes H tags, metatagging, google analytics code, etc. is CC a good platform?

Actually, I have a lot of questions:

Is there a way to host through CC? If not, who do you recommend to use as a host? - I had really like Yahoo! but I am hesitant to go through to a YNS again. I spent some time with GoDaddy and I really liked their analytics software but I would need to host with them.

My mind just went blank, I know I have more questions. I will post more as soon as I start using the trials I'm sure.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Buy visual site designer, and you get FREE hosting indefinitely for 1 website (you can pay extra for more)

You can add your own url (in vsd s drive its called a slug)

Uploading to server is the easiest you will find, uses your CC log in details

wysiwyg, may not necessarily be editable in html editor as such, but you do not need to, its very google and yahoo friendly with its own metatags and keywords , can be set differently for ever page if you wish

I came to CC vsd with no experience of code, html , or uploading to internet, it was a dodle

and lots of help and advice here in forum

Hi Nicole, I started with Sitebuilder too.
You can do just about anything with CC Visual Site Designer (VSD). It makes it easy to add key words, alt-text and Google Analytics. It also has an HTML tool so you can add code into your site. So you can use it as is, or get as creative with it as you want to.

The paid S-Drive account is very reasonable and as Viv says – it's really simple to upload to. It also includes some stats/info so you can see at a glance how many visitors your site has had.

Have fun with the trial, and ask all the questions you want :D

Hi,

Ok the S drive is... what exactly?

More questions:

Am I able to design multiple sites with the same software?
Am I able to work on the site offline and upload at a later time?
If I start designing the site on trial when I purchase the software am I able to upload what I started in the trial?
Does VSD offer a true navigation bar tool?

Can I purchase a domain through CC?

I'm sorry for all the questions, I'm really excited about this program and I think it would be a good fit for our organization.
