It will overwrite whatever is currently on the server providing they don't change the name of the slider or the server path. If your client leaves everything alone and just hits publish using the ftp settings you put in, it should work flawlessly. You will then just have to code the page where you want the slider to show up by using an iframe target the folder where the slider is.

Bring up my slider again and F5 it you will see it change to the new theme. I did that in the settings of wow slider and republished. I think its the answer you're looking for.

If you want i can throw together a quick tutorial showing you how to get it set up.

It WILL NOT lose the ftp info! Once you put the ftp info into the program under whatever name, and you save it, it will be there the next time you open the program. Just select to publish to ftp and select the name from the ftp drop down and away you go...

As Steve said, you can edit your photos, delete and/or add new ones and simply re-publish. The thing to watch for is if you load it via iframe into a page and the 'client' changes the size of the slider, then you may have a problem!

Adam, if I had an office open to clients, I'd have that on a poster in plain view. ;)
Maybe I should make a sticker for my laptop.

I will give the IFrame idea some thought, and Steve, I'll let you know if I need help getting it to work. It seems the installation has been a bit of a pain in the @$$ for some users.

Thanks for all the info and advice! Now if everyone would move over the Breakroom and get to work on my PayPal question.....

As to ftp info and the risk of losing it or having someone messing with it:

Paintbrush, try the iframe way, and create a subdomain for the user, with its own ftp access details, where he can upload his pieces of art. Then make it show in the iframe on the actual site. If the user messes up things, it's only the gallery, not the whole site.

I did that for the school where I was working, so that my colleagues could upload some stuff without wrecking the school website. And that worked fine. One subdomain for each of them.

If I go with WOW, I'll do the IFrame-sub-domain thing.
Jalbum is looking like the easier option for this situation since I also need to include a scroller for testimonials, and the client could manage both from within the software with no risk to the website.

Thanks for the ideas!
