). Maybe I mis-understood due to my complete lack of knowledge of Dreamweaver. I've never used it before, in fact, never even looked at it. CC is the first, non-text editor, web-design software I've used (and probably my last 
)

Thanks to all for your input. The best tip that came out of this conversation was by Bill Pitt who suggested using SnippetMaster. I'm not sure that this particular client will want to work that way, but I'll definitely keep it in mind going forward.

I think she will find Snippetmaster useful, but having said that it uses a WYSIWYG editor, which will correct errors, so depending on the overall design of the page it may get messed up.
That happened to me. With a bit of custom code however you can adjust how the WYSIWYG works, even having the WYSIWYG turned off to protect the HTML.
