Why don't my Photos show? - Post ID...
I am at a standstill. I put this site up, and except for one page, everything works as expected.
The site was created using frames. The one page giving me fits is the "2005 Photos" page and I cannot find anything wrong.
The link to the site is: http://www.tacomagames.org
Click on the "Photos" button, then on "2005". The "2005" Photos page is written exactly like the "2006" Photos page. The photos for 2006 display correctly but all I see is the placeholders for the 2005 photos appear then disappear.
I would appreciate any ideas. I had set the pages up to use 'Lightbox' then stopped because of this situation.

You have a path issue that is hard to track down because you are using frames.
Also, I can only see the very top of "Official Web Site". The frame is cutting off most of it in IE8 on my laptop.
I would ditch the frames. You really don't need them.

I'm trying to get the top banner corrected now. When I get it to look good in IE, the darn thing looks strange in Firefox and vice verse.
As far as the frames go, I agree Tom. However; right now I'm still in the process of convincing my client to get rid of the frames. He wants them to stay. I've got another version 'ready' to go when he agrees. Until then, I'm 'stuck' with the frames

Looks to me like you don't have the images in the correct location. When I click on the link in the source code of the first image of your 2005 it shows up, but it's the only one that does. I didn't click every single link, but all the ones I tried gave the following error (insert each pictures name, same error). Did you maybe upload them to a separate directory and forget that? Check to make sure the photos are all uploaded to the correct path. Let us know what you find out:

Just curious here.... Would changing to a different DocType make a difference?
The site has this:
DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"
Maybe a transitional DocType would be better with frames? (and with file names containing both upper and lower case letters).
I'm seeing the same "chopped" view as Tom (using Firefox).

As I said, there is a path issue for the images. Also, you should run the site through the W3C HTML Validator. There are some issues there, as well. That may help the alignment issue.

Greg, have you uploaded the 2005 photos - and to the place specified in the path?
Ha en riktig god dag!

Thank you all! I read and re-read all of your replies and after a long time of pulling my hair, I finally found the problem:

I found that the extension for the image was in caps, i.e. image.JPG and since i always use lower case in my file names, i.e. image.jpg, they weren't matching.
Tom was right, it was a path issue but, I never thought of it that way (I will from now on though!).
Oh, yeah, I got rid of the frames, Validated every page, and will try to convince the client that this is the way to go, (fingers crossed here).
Thanks guys!
