What's the difference?

My husband and I have a jewelry design business. We need a new site with a shopping cart. I have VSD. What I am confused about is:
1. Can I incorporate a shopping cart into VSD?
2. What is the difference between shopping cart creator pro and shopping cart designer pro?
3. Which one would I need?

I would greatly appreciate some input here. Thank you for your time

Shirley - Shopping Cart Creator is for making a functional shop (or working on the functional side of it), where Shopping Cart Designer is for making it pretty (or tweaking on the aesthetics). There is the option (on both) between basic & PRO, with PRO having more tools and features, and I'd highly recommend it over basic. You would definitely need the Creator (either basic or PRO), but Designer would be optional (if you're ok with just using template designs, which can work but why not get jazzy ;)).

As far as incorporating with VSD, there are several ways to do this and several users here who have done it. Hopefully one of them will chime in and give you their suggestions and wisdom.

So, if I understand what you are saying, I would need the creator pro to make the pages, and designer pro to make it look like the rest of my site. Is this correct? Time to start saving my quarters.
Thank you

Yes, you need Creator Pro to make the pages, and Designer Pro to make it look like the site you already have.

Shirley, Do you have a website yet?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is a site I built for use in my job.(HTML Editor)

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

Shirley the delorean site in my signature might help

There are about 20 pages (Detailed descriptive, information type pages) made in VSD

Near bottom of tabs are two that go to carts, both of which were made in SCCP, and the design edited with SCDP to match as closely as possible to the VSD pages.

Not necessary to do this unless like me you want more than 5 descriptive pages (up to 5 can be accomplished within SCCP)

This website is my main source of income as manufacturing signet rings is the bulk of what i do.

Thank you all for the information. You have been most helpful.

Eric, yes, we have a site but it is horrible and a rear bear to update. I made it a couple of years ago with WebPlus X4. That is NOT a friendly program for me. I'm embarrassed to say but it is at www.niaroodesigns.com Give me a few weeks and check back. I plan to re-do the entire site, with a shopping cart, hence my reason for the inquiry. I'm new at this and our site was my first. My second is www.fresnoflyfishers.com

Ambassador, you have made a very nice page. I really like the mouse over effects on the buttons. I need to get into that more. I've only recently learned how to make drop menus. Also, I see that you are in Pinner. That's a suburb of London isn't it? We've transplanted to the US from Glasgow.

sirAGE - your avatar gave me a good chuckle.

Thank you all again. This is a very helpful group!

Shirley :: I am about three or four miles from Watford.

Those buttons are made with VSD Buttoniser, just an oblong shape, and select a design and colour from the bottoniser, takes a few seconds.
