After adding in my extra meta tags using the free html editor, I save it. Then the next time I use the VSD, and save the file, it changes all my html back to the default. The only thing that stays is the Title, keywords, and description. All the added tags are deleted. Am I saving it wrong?

VSD changes my edited HTML back to...
VSD has it's own HTML Tool built into the program, you're not really able to edit it outside of VSD as normal HTML files are not inserted into the .vnu file that VSD creates. Basically you need to take the code you were trying to put into the separate area you edited it in, and instead insert it using the HTML Tool inside VSD.
You can get to that tool by going to the top Context Menu and choosing Tools, then choose HTML Tool a little over half way down that menu.
Very little to none can be edited outside of VSD and remain intact as VSD uses a different system setup than most code building editors do so it tends to change it back to it's own format which means it's not recognizing what you did and removing it. The good news is that if it can be done on a site, it's most likely got a tool somewhere built inside VSD to do it, barring major php or database things that is hehe.
Hope that helps, and that should keep it from changing on you.

I tried that, and it inserts it as an object on the website. I'm just trying to add robot, and author tags etc... I tried adding them through the "edit" button, the down to "edit header", and it says to add them there. they show up there , but after saving and uploading them, I go in and look, and they are not there.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
